I'm currently looking to research my family and so far I have been able to trace back till roughly 1839 in Ireland. ?
Based on the records I have been able to identify was Francis McDowell born in 1839 in Ireland and then based on 1891 UK census record lived in Whitehaven, Cumberland and was married to a Mary McDowell and had a son Walter McDowell who was born in 1880.
?Walter McDowell had a son in Whitehaven? also named Walter in 1913 and believe then migrated to London in the 1930's where he married Joyce Peggs and had a son Gerald McDowell in 1939.?
